Growing up on a dairy farm here in Wayne county, I have always had an interest in photography, and why not where else are there so many beautiful subjects to focus on. I started with a Brownie by Kodak and have used Ricoh and Nikon film cameras before making the difficult decision to switch to digital. I was on a photo tour in Canada a couple of years ago and someone commented that using digital was not really photography”! The guide responded “Sir, with all do respect, people have been altering photographs for years in the darkroom.”

I shoot with a Nikon D 80 now and enjoy the versatility and capabilities both within the camera and also what can be done with a photograph afterwards in the computer. Having traveled a lot of places with friends and family, I have great shots from a lot of places, but my heart returns right back here where some of my best work is done. The beauty of this earth we live on is at its peak right here in Northeast PA every hour of every day, all we have to do is open our eyes and enjoy. And by the way, be yourself and smile, you never know when you may be the subject!
